Grange Week 2010 was celebrated by Ravena Grange on Monday April 19, at the Grange Hall. Special guests will included Rusty Hunt, National Grange Membership/Leadership Director (from State of Washington), NYS Grange President Oliver J. Orton (Dutchess County), Coeymans Town Councilman Tom Boehm and County Legislator Peter Clouse.
The program featured a mulit-media presentation of the Stanton Farm operation and an address by Rusty Hunt. Grange Week Proclamiations and remarks were given by Councilman Boehm and Legislator Clouse. NYS Grange Master Oliver J. Orton added his personal thanks for the service Ravena Grange has given to the community over the years, along with encouragement for the future.
The Stanton Family was presented with the 2010 Grange Community Citizen Award for their outstanding (and growing) farm operation in the Town. The 2010 Granger of the Year Award was presented to Grange Master Alfred Kirmss.
Refreshments and a fellowship time followed the meeting.
