Grange Month 2024 was celebrated by Ravena Grange on Monday April 15, at the Grange Hall. Grange Lecturer (Program Director) presented a program centering around the beginnings of the Grange Organization in 1867, and its mission today. He emphised the power of our activism on all Grange levels, and encouraged members to give serious thought on the situations present in today's society that could/should be addressed by the Grange, and to bring them to the meetings for discussion and formal action.
Vernon Starr, Albany County Pomona Grange Master and NYS Grange Assistant Steward brought greetings from the State Grange and spoke briefly.
Town Supervisor Stephen Donnelly was on hand with a Proclamation designating the month of April as Grange Month in the Town of Coeymans. County Legislator Zack Collins was also on hand for the event, and presented a Proclamation from the Albany County Legislature declaring Grange Month in Albany County.
Refreshments and a fellowship time followed the meeting.
