A feature in the Grange Building at the 2025 Altamont Fair was the "What is This?" contest where we displayed a different antique object daily and invited fairgoers to guess guess it's name. A drawing was held each evening, with the first correct answer drawn receiving a $10.00 cash prize. The objects and daily winners are as follows:

 Thursday: Candle Snuffer/wick trimmer: Winner: Brittnehy Wrobel, Watervliet
 Friday: Gas Stove: Winner: Xavier Roman, Albany
 Saturday: Fruit/Mellon Baller: Winner: Carol VanAuken, Climax
 Sunday: Pie crust Lifter/Server: Winner: Natalie Dodge, Guilderland
